Senior Planning Enforcement Officer
 - Hampshire | Hybrid (site visits + 1 day/week in office)
 - Start: Late September 2025
 - Contract: 3–6 months
 - Rate: £35–£50/hour (DOE) | IR35 status TBC (likely in scope)

I’m working with a proactive and well-regarded local authority in Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to support their busy enforcement team. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload and contribute to maintaining planning compliance across the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate alleged breaches of planning control
  • Conduct site visits and gather evidence
  • Prepare reports and correspondence, including enforcement notices
  • Liaise with internal departments, legal teams, and external stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice on enforcement matters and attend committee or appeal hearings as required

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in planning enforcement within an LPA
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement procedures
  • Confident in managing a varied caseload independently
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence (for site visits)

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 3–6 months
  • Location: Hampshire (hybrid – site visits + 1 day/week in office)
  • Rate: £35–£50/hour (depending on experience)
  • IR35: Status to be confirmed (likely in scope)
  • Start Date: Late September 2025
