About the Medical Clinic
Most patients speak Hindi and Punjabi so it will be an advantage if you do too!
It is rare to represent a professional clinic with such a low overhead split. Even more rare is to have a maximum or cap of $100,000 on the overhead split.
Your billing model can be either the highly popular government Longitudinal Family Practice Compensation Model (LFP) or Fee for Service (FFS). On either model you can expect your gross billings to be up to $600,000 CDN or £270,000 to you after split! Bonuses also available.
This clinic is one of four in a group of clinics. The owners are very supportive of GP’s. You will practice in an attractive, busy setting. You will receive full training in how a Canadian doctor handles admin.
About Surrey, British Columbia

For doctors, there are good hospital facilities (e.g. Surrey Memorial Hospital, the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre) and future planned improvements (new hospital + BC Cancer Centre).
Surrey is large geographically, so it offers both suburban and somewhat more rural/a semi-rural living. Parks, outdoor spaces, and some buffer from the density and traffic of Vancouver.
As demand grows, there's potential for leadership roles, involvement in shaping new clinics, hospital programs, teaching (especially with nearby SFU’s Surrey campus expanding with a new medical school).
With newer hospitals being built/planned, there are opportunities for state-of-the-art facilities and being part of building systems rather than just stepping into fully mature ones.
Surrey is very diverse — some neighborhoods are quite upscale, others have more socioeconomic challenges. Safety, amenities, public services can vary significantly depending on where exactly you live.
Schooling, childcare, social amenities are better in some parts, less in others. Choosing location (both home and clinic/hospital) is important for quality of life.
A doctor can have it all – great income, work-life balance, a nice home in a great neighbourhood and terrific schools for your children.
